INTERCONTINENTAL ASIANA SAIGON

Ben Thanh Art Gallery started in Saigon 15 years ago; when we were approached with the mission to serve as art design consultants for the InterContinental Asiana Saigon hotel project in 2008, it was a progressive turning point in the development of contemporary art in Vietnam.

Intercontinental Asiana Saigon is a complex of three buildings: Kumho Office, InterContinental Residential Service Apartments, and InterContinental Asiana Saigon Hotel with 305 luxurious, 5-star deluxe rooms.

The selected artworks follow a common theme of a small and friendly Saigon. Ben Thanh Art Gallery has dedicated a lot of effort into producing an art space of most special value. From the lobby to the corridors to the bedrooms, the hotel is decorated with unique paintings of contemporary art. These are paintings of young women dressed in traditional Ao Dai, oriental landscapes depicting a harmony between traditional and modern flower markets, or the lively scene of the vibrant riverside merchant that inspires and enriches the subjects of poetic language. These paintings are lightly colored, possess warm tomes, and engender a serene ambiance. Seemingly ordinary scenes and interactions between humans are enlivened and enhanced by the delicate brush and impressive colors of artists.
